Piotr Sczypa

Peter Sczypa ( born April 19, 1948 in Siemianowice as Piotr in January Sczypa ) is a German figure skating coach. For his native Poland he was formerly an internationally successful pair skater.

Peter Sczypa studied in Katowice Business Studies and Sport. In 1979 he went to Denmark and became a coach. In 1986, he came as national coach of the German Skating Union to Oberstdorf. In 1988 he became coach of the national ice sports federation Baden -Wuerttemberg and Club Coach of the Mannheimer ERC. As federal Honorary coach, he also manages the skaters of Olympic training Rhein- Neckar. Sczypa achieved extraordinary success in Germany. He coached Claudia Leistner ( European Champion and Vice World Champion ), Stefan Pfrengle, Anuschka glasses, Catherine hackers, Christiane Berger, Denise Zimmermann, Shira Willner, Julia Pfrengle, Sarah Hecken (Olympic Games 2010) and Nathalie Weinzierl (Olympic Games 2014).
