Piotrowo, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Piotrowo ( German Petersdorf ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Lubomino ( Arnsdorf ) in the powiat Lidzbark Warmiński ( circle Heilenberg ).

Geographical location

Piotrowo is located on the southeastern shore of Jezioro Tonka ( Dittrich villages lake ) and is accessible from the province road 593 about Wilczkowo (Wolf Village ) on a side street. Until the county seat Lidzbark Warmiński ( Heilenberg ) there are 25 km, the nearest town is Dobre Miasto ( Guttstadt ) in ten kilometers away. A rail connection does not exist.

History

The place was 1874-1945 in the District Wolf Village (now Polish: Wilczkowo ) incorporated. He belonged to the circle of salvation mountain in the district of Königsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia. In 1910 202 residents were registered in the rural community. Their number rose to 1933 and amounted to 237 in 1939 236

In 1945, Petersdorf, in the wake of the Second World War with the southern East Prussia to Poland. 1975-1998 was the place now called Piotrowo part of Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ) Province. Today, the village within the Gmina Lubomino ( Arnsdorf ) is located in the powiat Lidzbarski ( circle Heilenberg ) in the Warmia - Mazury.

Church

Protestant

By 1945 the Protestant inhabitants Peter village belonged to the parish Reger dumplings (now Polish: Rogiedle ). It was in the far -area church circle brown mountain ( Braniewo ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Church of the Old Prussian Union. Today Piotrowo the Evangelical-Lutheran parish in Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ) is assigned. It is part of the Diocese of the Evangelical - Augsburg Church Mazury in Poland.

Catholic

Just as Petersdorf Catholic side before 1945 belonged to the parish wolf village, so Piotrowo is now the parish in the Parafia Wilczkowo. It is incorporated in the deanery Świątki ( Holy Thal ) in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Catholic Church in Poland.
