The Piz Morteratsch ( 3'751 m above sea level. M. ) is the northern neighbor of Piz Bernina and probably the easiest one to climb the Bünder ice giants. Is widely extolled the view from this mountain, and above all the impressive views of the Bianco, the north ridge of Piz Bernina.

The mountain can be reached most easily from Pontresina through the Val Roseg. As a base case, the Chamanna serves as Tschierva ( Tschiervahütte, 2,583 m above sea level.
