The Pizzo Carbonara is the highest elevation of the Madonie and with a height of 1979 m slm the highest mountain nichtvulkanische Sicily.

The Pizzo Carbonara is located near the road between Isnello and Polizzi Generosa, in the province of Palermo.

On Pizzo Carbonara the karst features of the Madonie are particularly pronounced. Numerous sinkholes pull from all sides up to the top area.
