Platinum Games

Platinum Games (Japaneseプラチナ ゲームズ 株式会社, Purachinagēmuzu kabushiki - gaisha, stylized spelling Platinum games) is a Japanese game development companies.

History

Platinum Games was founded in August 2006 under the name Seeds, Inc. of Shinji Mikami, Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya, former employees of Capcom's Clover Studio. In March 2007, Capcom solved the Clover Studio and all rights to the developed from the studio series, such as Viewtiful Joe, God Hand and Ōkami, remained at Capcom. Much of the former Clover Studio team then joined together as a new development studio. In October 2007, merged Seeds, Inc. with the development studio ODD Inc. and changed its name to Platinum Games.

Currently Platinum Games Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 developed, both coming exclusively to the Wii U. The brawler Anarchy Reigns should be released in July 2012 in Europe and North America originally, but was postponed by the publisher Sega. In Europe, it appeared instead on 11 January 2013.

The most successful game from Platinum Games Bayonetta is sold with about 1.66 million copies. All in all games of Platinum Games were added together to sell 2.99 million times.
