Pleasant Point is a small rural community in the southern Canterbury in New Zealand, 19 km inland from Timaru on State Highway 8 located. Attractions

Attractions are a heritage railway, Pleasant Point Museum and Railway, steam locomotives and a world of two Model T Ford Railcar replicas in the world. For nearly one hundred years has led the Fairlie Branch, a branch line from the Main South Line, through the city. It was closed on March 2, 1968, a heritage railway uses 2,5 km of the old route.

Pleasant Point is also known for glass blowing and forging, in the area there are also wineries. Nearby Māori rock art can be visited from the 16th century.
