Pleuricospora fimbriolata is a plant of the family Ericaceae ( Ericaceae ) and the only species of its genus.

Description

Pleuricospora fimbriolata is a chlorophyll -less, myco - heterotrophic herbaceous plant. Your root system is coral- shaped, the burgeoning of them shoot and inflorescence axis is upright and is off-white to reddish. The leaves are simple.

The inflorescence is one to mehrblütig, the tubular flowers are cruciform in general. Sepals are present, the petals are non- grow. The stamens are as long as the crown, the anthers turn not turn around. The stylus is continuous, the scar extended only weakly.

The ovary has parietal placentation. The fruit does not open, the seeds are ovoid and thick-skinned. The chromosome number is n = 26

Dissemination

The species is found in western North America at altitude 150-2750 meters.

Species and genus were first described in 1868 by Asa Gray.
