Pobedim

Pobedim ( until 1927 slovak " Pobedim "; Popudin German, Hungarian Pobedény - to 1907 Pobedim ) is a municipality in western Slovakia. It is located in the Danube hills, 10 km from Piešťany and 16 km from Nové Mesto nad Váhom.

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1392. Pobedim is a known archaeological site, with discoveries from the Bronze, Roman and Slavic time. A fortified settlement from the time of Prince Pribinov was discovered in the municipal area.
