Počúvadlo

Počúvadlo (1927-1948 Slovak " Pocuvadlo "; Pockhaus German, Hungarian Bacsófalva - to 1892 Pocsuvadló ) is a small town in central Slovakia, with 101 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011), which for Okres Banská Štiavnica, a circle of Banskobystrický kraj heard.

Geography

The municipality is located in the mountains Štiavnica Hills located at Bach Počúvadlianský creek, 15 miles south of Banska Štiavnica.

History

Počúvadlo was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1333 as Pocholla, as they belonged to the castle Levice. From the 17th century belonged to the Selmec mining chamber. 1828 are 41 houses and 250 inhabitants recorded, who were employed in forestry, mining and charcoal burning.
