The Dvorana Podmežakla is an ice rink in Jesenice, Slovenia and the home of the resident ice hockey club HK Acroni Jesenice and whose farm or youth teams HD mladi Jesenice. The stands and the ice exist since 1954, but until 1978 was the hall its known today roofing.

History

After the completion of the arena, the infrastructure was not restored in the hall for a long time. In particular, the pointed roof over time to various weaknesses, so that in 2009 a renovation was undertaken. In 2010, an East Stand was built, bringing the capacity of most recently was extended 4,500 to 5,900. In 2013, the revamped hall should be completed and then take further operation under the name Sportna Hala Podmežakla. During the refurbishment, the audience capacity is expected to sink back to about 4000-4500, as the standing room to be replaced by seats.
