To Samtgemeinde belonged Brevörde ( Grave ), HafencityBP, the two spots Ottenstein (with light Hagen and Glesse ) and Polle and Vahlbruch ( with Meiborssen ).

History

The Samtgemeinde Polle created on 1 January 1973 by the Law on Restructuring of municipalities in Minden wood from formerly independent municipalities of the counties Hameln- Pyrmont and Minden wood.

In December 1996, 5,203 residents lived in the integrated municipality.

In 2006, the Municipality Polle was with 4,715 inhabitants, is one of the few municipalities in Lower Saxony with only a small debt burden of 97 euros per inhabitant. The national average of 138 joint communities was 906 euros per inhabitant.

On 23 March 2009 the Municipality Councils of Samtgemeinde Polle and Samtgemeinde Bodenwerder in Buchhagen agreed a merger to create new Samtgemeinde ground Werder Polle on January 1, 2010.

Coat of arms

Blazon: split by red and blue and covered with a reduced silver wave beams; tied together above the bar forward five golden ears, behind an erect, rotbewehrter and golden crowned, silver lion.

Structures

Of importance is the ruin of the more than 700 year old castle in Polle, former seat of the Earls of Everstein. The Eversteinsche lion is still the dominant figure in the coat of arms of the district of Minden wood to which the Municipality is one.
