Poltergeist (Band)

Poltergeist is a Swiss thrash metal band from Augst, which was founded in 1983 under the name Carrion and broke up in 1994 and since 2013 is active again.

History

The band was founded in 1983 under the name Carrion. By 1986, the band released two demos and an album. Afterwards, the group renamed in Poltergeist. In the years 1987 and 1988, they released a demo respectively. Thus, the band reached a deal with Century Media. With this label, the group released the album Depression in 1989. The publication followed in 1991, the second album Behind My Mask with the same label. Their third and final album appeared in 1993 under the name Nothing Lasts Forever on Haunted House Records. The following year, the band broke up. On New Year's Eve 2012 parts of the old cast got together again and decided to revive the band. Since August 2ß13 was Sven foreman (ex Destruction ) as a drummer in the cast. As a guitarist also Chasper Wanner was now in the cast.
