Polvo

Polvo is an American math-rock band that was formed in 1990 in Chapel Hill.

At the beginning the band consisted of the singers and guitarists Ash Bowie and Dave Brylawski, bassist Steve Popson and drummer Eddie Watkins. They were known in the local scene as a live band and released in 1991, the double -7 "Can I ride on the label Kitchen Puff, which was re-released in 1996 under the title Polvo. On the local indie label Merge then published in 1992, their first album called Cor -Crane Secret. Thereupon she toured with Babes in Toyland, and Superchunk. 1993 came out their second album Today's Active Lifestyles and the next and the next year the EPs Celebrate the New Dark Age and This Eclipse. 1996 she published on the Chicago label touch & Go album Exploded Drawing. Afterwards, the band members drifted more and more apart and the band was disbanded in 1997 after the publication of shapes. 2008, they found themselves back together and a year later the album was released In prism on Merge.
