Pomorsko

Pomorsko ( German: Pommerzig ) is a village with about 600 inhabitants of the Polish rural community Sulechów ( Züllichau ) in western Poland, approximately 10 kilometers west of Sulechów and 12 kilometers north of Zielona Góra ( Grünberg ).

History

The cancer mill located near belonged in the 18th century, the miller Arnold, who carried his complaint to King Frederick the Great of alleged unjust court decisions in the dispute with his landlord Count Schmettau the intervention of the king brought about in his favor (Müller -Arnold Case ).

The place was called until 1945 Pommerzig district Crossen, Brandenburg province. To Pommerzig the districts cancer mill means Vorwerk included ( Łuszczyn ) Pommerzig castle and Valeskahof ( Dobrzęcin ).

Pomorsko is connected by highways 276 and 278 to the west with Krosno, east over the highway 278 with Sulechów.

To the south it is connected by the highway with 281 Zielona Góra, which is interrupted by a ferry. The ferry operates daily from about sunrise to sunset - the crossing is free. In bad weather, such as storms, hail or high water, the ferry service is stopped.

When at this point a bridge over the Oder is built, is still unclear. As an alternative route to green mountain, it is possible to drive on the road after 278 Sulechów and from there via the federal highway 32 and highway 3.
