Pont du Diable (Céret)

The Pont du Diable ( German: Devil's bridge ) or Pont Vieux ( German: Old Bridge) in Ceret is a single stone from the 14th century and is in the south of France.

The building spans the river Tech near the town Ceret in the southern French region of Languedoc- Roussillon, Pyrenees-Orientales département.

The bridge has a span of 45.45 m, the largest semi-circular arch span of a stone bridge of the Middle Ages. The height of the rising towards the middle arc is at the apex of 22,30 m. The bridge was built from 1321 to 1341 and partially rebuilt in the 18th century.

The Pont du Diable was made in 1840 as a monument historique a historical monument.
