Pontine Islands

(Also called " Ponti African archipelago " or " Ponza Islands " ) The Pontine Islands are an Italian group of islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It belongs to the province of Latina in the Lazio region. It consists of the six islands of Ponza ( eponymous for the archipelago and the main town ), Gavi, Palmarola and Zannone in the west, forming the community of Ponza and Ventotene and Santo Stefano (municipality Ventotene ) in the east.

Overall, the archipelago has about 4000 inhabitants. In the summer months, however, significantly more people talk because of tourism on the islands.
