Pope Joseph II of Alexandria

Yusab II ( YouSAB II, † November 14, 1956 ) was the 115th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the chair of St. Mark ( Coptic Church ).

He built a large new building for the library of the Patriarchate as well as a sumptuous residence of the Metropolitans and let the Saint Mark's Cathedral in Alexandria rebuild. During his pontificate, there was unrest in the church. He was the last of the three elected from the ranks of bishops patriarch. His successor Kirellos VI. was selected from the ranks of monks. This soothes the church members who saw this as a return to the church traditions.
