Popovići, Serbia

Popovići (Cyrillic: Поповићи ) is a village in Serbia. The village is first mentioned in written documents dating back to 1476. A school are in place already for 75 years. In the first four years of its existence, the school was in the private home of Milenko Tešić. The village is situated on the river Western Morava. Popovići is located north of Kraljevo, Kraljevo at the airport.

Geography and population

The village lies in the Opština Kraljevo, Raška in Okrug. Popovići had in the census 2002 300 inhabitants, while there were 1991 340 inhabitants. After the last three population statistics, the population of Popovići to fall. The population challenge orthodox Serbs. The village consists of 92 households.
