Poppy Montgomery

Poppy Montgomery ( born June 19, 1975 in Sydney, New South Wales as Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Donahue ) is an Australian actress.

Life

Like her siblings, she was after a flower ( Poppy Poppy is called ) named. For her work as an actress, she has chosen the maiden name of her mother, Montgomery,.

At 14, she dropped out of school and worked in a restaurant of her father until he fired her because she was a bad waitress. When Poppy Montgomery was 16 years old, she left Australia and traveled for two years through the world until they came to the U.S. at age 18. In Los Angeles, she had to first train yourself an American accent before she was cast in 1994. A year later she was able to briefly appear in Devil in a Blue alongside Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle. This was followed by guest appearances in the television series Party of Five and New York Cops - NYPD Blue.

Her breakthrough came in 2001 with the title role as Marilyn Monroe in the miniseries Blonde on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates. From 2002 to 2009 she was one of the main cast of Without a Trace - Without a trace. Since 2011 she takes in the crime drama Unforgettable the lead role of Detective Carrie Wells.

On December 23, 2007, she gave birth to a son. The father is Adam Kaufman, with whom she was together from 2005 to 2011. On April 23, 2013, it now brought their first daughter into the world. The father is her current her partner Shawn Sanford.
