Porsangerfjord

The Porsangerfjord is a fjord in northern Norway in the county of Finnmark. It is about 123 km long with a width of about 10 to 20 km and thus the longest fjord in northern Norway and the fourth longest fjord in Norway. East of the island Magerøya opens the Porsangerfjord in the Norwegian Sea. To the east of the fjord is bounded by the Sværholt Peninsula.

Are, among other communities Nordkapp and Porsanger and several fishing villages along the fjord coast. In addition, the ending at the North Cape European route E69 runs on the west coast of Porsangerfjords.

Vesterbotn ( Leavdnjavuotna ) with the side of the fjord Brennelvfjorden ( Lavttevuotna ) - - and in an eastern arm - Østerbotn ( Soggovuotna ) - At its southern end is the fjord by a peninsula into a western arm split.

The salmon rivers Børselva, Lakselva and Stabburselva flow into the fjord.
