Escoriani is a village in the department of Potosí in the highlands of South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

Escoriani is a railway station in the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Atocha in the province Sur chichas. The now almost deserted village is at an altitude of 4056 m on the riverbank of the Rio Guadalupe, one of the headwaters of the Río Tupiza. Escoriani was formerly the site of a silversmith until the deposits were so far exhausted that a further reduction was not worth.

Geography

Escoriani located on the Bolivian Altiplano in the northern foothills of the Andean mountain range, the Cordillera de Lípez. The region's climate is arid and has a clear time of day climate.
