Postup

Postup is a Croatian wine quality. It was in 1967 awarded the quality mark and the protected designation of origin and, with the Dingač and wines from Hvar to the most remarkable red wines of Croatia and the best wines that are made ​​from the Plavac Mali. It received its name from the hamlet Postup, which lies just east of Orebic.

Its origin region lies on the southern Dalmatian peninsula Peljesac and is immediately adjacent to the west of the Dingač. He, too, is unmixed pressed from late-harvested, already dried grapes partly to the widespread in southern Dalmatia Rotweinrebe Plavac Mali.

A Postup is a massive, strong alcohol, extract and tannic wine with a deep dark, almost purple color. He has the typical varietal bouquet of cherries and berries. A successful Postup is usually a bit more elegant, less rough than a Dingač.
