Pot'onggang - guyŏk is one of the 18 districts of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. The district is known primarily for the Ryugyong Hot'el. It takes its name from the river Pothong which forms the district boundaries. Pot'onggang - guyŏk bordered to the north Hyŏngjesan - guyŏk, to the east by Sŏsŏng - guyŏk and Moranbong - guyŏk, to the south - P'yŏngch'ŏn guyŏk and Chung- guyŏk and to the west by Mangyongdae - guyŏk. Was established the county in October 1960.
