Powder River Basin

The Powder River Basin is a region in Wyoming and Montana. About 40 % of coal in the United States is promoted in this region. Among the major towns include Gillette, Sheridan and Miles City. In the ground beneath this basin there are about 800 billion tons of bituminous coal. In the region there are natural coal fires.
