Prehistoric Park - extinction was yesterday is a six -part television series in the style of a documentary of 3D animation forge Impossible Pictures, which was erstausgestrahlt from 22 July and 29 October 2006, ITV and Animal Planet. Each episode has a running time of 50 minutes.

The program is narrated by David Jason in the original English and Nigel Marven embodied. The theme of the series is that Nigel travels back through a time portal into different geological epochs, in order there to capture live specimens of extinct animals to bring them into the present and to place them in a game reserve, known as Prehistoric Park, to give them there a chance to live. The Prehistoric Park is a huge area between the mountains and the sea with many different habitats. The reason for choosing this area is that outbreaks be stopped at an early stage through the mountains or the sea. There is also the suitable habitat for nearly every animal.

It can save an adult specimen. Furthermore, he rather unintentionally ( and to the chagrin of Bob's ) is a Troodon with the present.

Criticism

The series holds the most part on scientifically proven facts, as far as the body size of the animals, for example. However, unassigned, conjectures are presented as facts. For example, the Microraptor is the ability of the gliding assumed, which is still controversial among experts.
