Prince Christian Sound

Geographical location

The Prins Christian Sund ( Greenlandic: Ikerassuaq ) belongs to Greenland and separates the offshore to the south archipelago of Cape Farewell from the mainland. The Sound connects the Labrador Sea in the west to the Irminger Sea in the east. The strait is about 100 kilometers long. For reasons of tourist Sund is often traversed by cruise ships.
