Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein

Faisal bin Al Hussein (Arabic فيصل بن الحسين بن طلال, DMG b Faisal al -Husayn b Talal, .. Born October 11, 1963 in Amman ) is a Prince of Jordan. He is the third of the Jordanian throne and is a member of the IOC since 2010.

Life

Family

Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was born on October 11, 1963 as the second son of King Hussein I of Jordan and his second wife Muna al - Hussein in Amman to the world. His older brother Abdullah II is the current King of Jordan. He has two sisters, and eight half-siblings, coming from the other marriages of his father.

In August 1987, Prince Faisal married the Jordanian Alia Tabbaa, daughter of Sayyid Tawfik al - Tabbah, the founder and president of the Royal Jordanian Airline. From this marriage the children Ayah Omar (* October 22, 1993 ) went (born 11 February 1990), and the twins Sara and Aisha (both born 27 March 1997) produced. In April 2008, Prince Faisal and Princess Alia divorced. On March 20, 2010 married Prince Faisal in Jeddah Sara Qabbani. Training

After attending the preschool in Amman Faisal bin Al Hussein left six years old Jordan, to visit the St Edmund 's School in Surrey, England. A year later he moved to the Bement School in Deerfield (Massachusetts ). Two years later he attended also located in Deerfield Eagle Brook School. In 1978 he moved to Washington DC to continue at the local St Albans School his school education. He joined the school in 1981 with the High School Diploma from. Work and tasks

Faisal bin Al Hussein graduated from a military career and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant-General of the Royal Jordanian Air Force. He has held various senior positions in the Jordanian army and air force. In addition, he is Chairman of King Abdullah II Centre of Excellence, a device whose goal is to promote the development of Jordan in different areas. Functions in the field of sport

Prince Faisal, who took part in rallies in motor sport itself and an active sport shooter is standing and stood in front of many organizations in the field of sport. So he held from 1989 to 2004 the office of chairman of the Motorsports Commission of the Jordanian Automobile Club Royal Automobile Club of Jordan. Since 2004 he has been Chairman of the Association Jordan Motorsports and president of the National Olympic Committee of Jordan. In 2007 he founded the institutions of international mandatory Generations For Peace and Peace Through Sport Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia, which he chaired. He is since 2007 the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia. Since 2010 Faisal bin Al Hussein is a member of the International Olympic Committee.

Awards
