Prince Frederick Augustus of Anhalt-Dessau

Friedrich August von Anhalt- Dessau ( born September 23, 1799 in Dessau, † December 4, 1864 in Dessau ) from the house of Ascanians was a prince of Anhalt- Dessau.

Life

Frederick was a son of the Hereditary Prince Frederick von Anhalt- Dessau (1769-1814) from his marriage to Christiana Amalie (1774-1846), daughter of the Landgrave Friedrich V of Hesse- Homburg.

Marriage and issue

Friedrich married on September 11, 1832 Castle Rumpenheim Marie ( 1814-1895 ), daughter of the Landgrave William of Hesse -Kassel- Rumpenheim, with whom he had the following children:

  • Adelheid (1833-1916)
  • Bathildis (1837-1902)
  • Hilda (1839-1926)
