Princess Alice of Parma (1849–1935)

Alicia (also Alix ) Maria Carolina Ferdinanda Rachel Giovanna Filomena Princess of Bourbon -Parma (* December 27, 1849 in Parma, Italy, † January 16, 1935 in sword, Upper Austria ) was the last ( titular ) Grand Duchess of Tuscany.

Life

Alicia was a daughter of Duke Charles III. of Parma (1823-1854) and the French Princess Louise Marie Therese (1819-1864), only daughter of the Duke of Berry, Charles Ferdinand de Bourbon and his wife, Princess Maria Carolina of Naples and Sicily.

Marriage and descendants

She married on 11 January 1868 in Frohsdorf the Grand Duke Ferdinand IV of Tuscany, Archduke of Austria, son of Leopold II of Tuscany and Princess Maria Antonia of the Two Sicilies. Together they had ten children:
