Princess Augusta Reuss of Köstritz

Auguste Wilhelmine Mathilde Princess Reuss to Koestritz ( born May 26, 1822 in Klipphausen, † March 3, 1862 in Schwerin ) was by marriage Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg.

Life

Auguste was the daughter of Prince Heinrich LXIII. Reuss to Koestritz (1786-1841) and Countess Eleonore of Stolberg- Wernigerode ( 1801-1827 ).

On November 3, 1849 married Auguste Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II of Mecklenburg. The couple had six children.

August's relatively early death raises questions. Courtiers spoke of a "with a bronchial associated heart disease."
