Princess Louise of Prussia (1808–1870)

Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie of Prussia ( born 1 February 1808 in Königsberg, † December 6, 1870 in the house de Pauw in Wassenaar ) was a Princess of Prussia from the House of Hohenzollern and by marriage Princess of the Netherlands.

Life

Louise was the youngest daughter of King Frederick William III. of Prussia (1770-1840) from his marriage to Louise (1776-1810), daughter of Grand Duke Karl II of Mecklenburg -Strelitz. As guardians of the Princess acted the estates of East Prussia.

Luise married on 21 May in 1825 in Berlin, Prince Frederick of the Netherlands ( 1797-1881 ).

After the Luis Luise Straße in Berlin -Mitte is named.
