Princess Margarita of Greece and Denmark ( born April 18, 1905 in Athens, † 24 April 1981 in Bad Wiessee, Bavaria ) was a member of the House of Schleswig -Holstein -Sonderburg- Glücksburg.
Parents
Margarita was the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark ( * 1882, † 1944) and his wife Alice of Battenberg (* 1885, † 1969), as well as the paternal granddaughter of King George I of Greece and Grand Duchess Olga Romanova Konstantinovna, a niece of Tsar Alexander II and the mother of Prince Louis of Battenberg, later Louis Mountbatten, 1st Marquess of Milford Haven and Princess Victoria of Hesse- Darmstadt and by Rhine, who is a granddaughter of Queen Victoria.

Margarita married on April 20, 1931, in Langenburg Gottfried of Hohenlohe- Langenburg ( 1897-1960 ), son of Prince Wilhelm Ernst of Hohenlohe -Langenburg and his wife Alexandra Louise Olga Victoria of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha, named Sandra, daughter of Duke Alfred of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha, Prince of Great Britain and Ireland and of Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna Romanov, daughter of Tsar Alexander II
