Princess Victoria of the United Kingdom

Victoria Alexandra Olga Mary, Princess of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, VA ( born July 6, 1868, Marlborough House, London, † December 3, 1935 in Coppins House, Iver, Buckinghamshire ) was a British princess of the House of Saxe -Coburg and Gotha (later Windsor ).

Life

Victoria was the second daughter of the Prince of Wales and future King Edward VII (1841-1910) and his wife Princess Alexandra of Denmark (1844-1925), daughter of the Danish King Christian IX .. my father's side she was the granddaughter of Queen Victoria and their consort Albert of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha. It was created within the family Toria.

In August 1868 she became the Archbishop of Canterbury, Archibald Campbell Tait, baptized. Victoria spent together with her siblings their child and youth years in Marlborough House and Sandringham House. Her upbringing and school education were in the hands of several tutors and governesses. A special relationship she had her older brother, the future King George V. Although the princess had several suitors, she never married. Instead, she was the constant companion of her parents, particularly her mother until her death in 1925. After her mother's death was referring Princess Victoria, the Coppins House in Iver in Buckinghamshire. Princess Victoria died on December 3, 1935, her funeral was held at the St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle instead and she was buried in the Mausoleum of Frogmore House at Windsor.
