Prix du meilleur jeune économiste de France

The prix du meilleur jeune économiste de France is a French prize, the " has joined the recognized expertise with a participation in the public debate " every year since 2000 by the newspaper Le Monde and the Cercle des Economistes to a French economist. The price is intended as a counterpart to the American Economic Association awarded by the prestigious John Bates Clark Medal.

Selection

The announcement of the opening of applications for the award is made by Le Monde. The members of the Cercle des Economistes will then develop a list of candidates, check their research and make an initial selection. After further discussion with the business journalists from Le Monde, the winner will be selected and will receive 3000 euros prize money of Le Monde.
