Propiconazole is a chemical compound selected from the group of triazoles. It is a clear, yellowish, viscous liquid with a faint odor. The mixture of four stereoisomers is used as a fungicide.
History
Propiconazole was developed in 1979 by Janssen Pharmaceutica.
Use
Propiconazole is used as a fungicide. For example, as a wood preservative and in fungi, corn, peanuts, almonds, millet, oats, pecans, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums and prunes. Approvals as plant protection products are made in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the main application here is the cereal crops.

Propiconazole can be detected by high performance liquid chromatography or gas chromatography.
