Janssen Pharmaceutica N. V. is a Belgian pharmaceutical company in Beerse.

General

Janssen Pharmaceutica N. V. was founded in 1953 by Paul Janssen ( 1926-2003 ) and is part of Johnson & Johnson. Original purpose of the company was exclusively pharmaceutical research.

In 1961, Janssen Pharmaceutica part of Johnson & Johnson, after Paul Janssen again increasingly wanted to dedicate the research and his company had initially offered in Europe in vain for purchase. To date, Janssen Pharmaceutica is home to the worldwide research and development of new drugs for Johnson & Johnson ( Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Development ( JJPRD ) ), eg in the field of neurology, anesthesia, analgesia, allergy, cancer, etc.

1985 established Janssen Pharmaceutica became the first Western pharmaceutical company to a pharmaceutical factory in the PRC. The first factory was set up and directed by Joos Horsten in Hanzhong. Later, a second and larger factory in Xi'an followed.

2007 Janssen Pharmaceutica was honored for the third time as the most attractive employer in Belgium. This survey is conducted by Randstad in Belgium since 2001.
