Protogeneia

Protogeneia (Greek Πρωτογένεια ) is in the Greek mythology, the eldest daughter of Deucalion and Pyrrha, and thus the first produced by human woman.

After Pyrrha and Deucalion were landed after the flood Deukalionischen on the Othrys in Thessaly, Protogeneia grew up in Kynos. By Zeus she is the mother of Aethlios, which becomes the first king of Elis.

In Pindar Pyrrha and Deucalion land on the Parnassos and rise from the mountains down to the Thessalian city of Opus, where she created the first humans by litters of stones on the ground. People thereby incurred are the children of the earth goddess Gaia and the stones from the city. Opus is called by Pindar "City of Protogeneia ". Zeus steals and impregnates the Protogeneia and bring them to Lokros. There, she brings forth a son, and called him by her father Opus.
