Proton Bank

Proton Bank is a Greek bank; it was founded in 2001.

History

In 2002, the Bank has developed into an investment bank. It grew quickly and was traded on the Athens Stock Exchange since December 2005.

In 2006 she took over the Omega Bank.

In October 2008, Bank of Piraeus withdrew an offer to buy a minority stake in Proton Bank.

In October 2011, Proton Bank was supported during the Greek financial crisis, with almost € 900 million from international aid. This is also the EFSF funds were used.
