PSI Factor - Chronicles of the Paranormal ( Original title: PSI Factor - Chronicles of the Paranormal ) is a mystery television series that was produced from 1996 to 2000 in Canada and consists of four squadrons with a total of 88 episodes.

In the PSI Factor O.S.I.R. examined (Office of Scientific Investigation and Research), a team of scientists and experts, a wide range of paranormal phenomena. Each case is presented as a presenter before the start of Dan Aykroyd and commented briefly at the end. In the first season, two short cases were per episode shown in the later seasons per episode only one case.

The cases are based on supposedly true facts. The O.S.I.R. shown in the series is purely fictitious. Although there is a real OSIR, but this stands for Organization for Scientific Investigation and Research and deals with thematically similar, although not quite as spectacular events. In addition, there was an Office of Scientific Integrity Review, which now ORI ( Office of Research Integrity ) is called.
