PSIS Semarang

, Often just called PSIS Semarang PSIS, is an Indonesian football club based in Semarang.

History

PSIS was founded in 1932. Until the introduction of the Indonesia Super League 1994, the club played in the amateur league in the country. 1987 Semarang could win the championship of the country in 1999 followed by another championship, this time in the Indonesia Super League. After a decline in 2000, the direct re-emergence in 2001. Followed in 2005 by PSIS occupied the third place in the standings, in 2006 we finished second behind Persik Kediri. 2009, the club was relegated to the second-class Premier Division.
