Psusennes III.

Psusennes III. (also known as Pasebakhaennuit III. ) was an ancient Egyptian high priest of Amun, who lived at the end of the 21st Dynasty. About him, little is known and it is believed that he is identical with Pharaoh Psusennes II. Others doubt its existence.

Documents

His name appears on a document that refers to him as the son of the high priest Pinudjem II. This speaks for the proposition that he was in truth Psusennes II because Pinudjem II died in the tenth year of the reign of Pharaoh Siamun, who was the direct predecessor of Psusennes II.

In another theory is claimed Psusennes III. have reigned in Tanis and his younger brother had taken care of the policy in Thebes. This younger brother could have been Psusennes II, whose existence is also not fully secured.
