Puerto El Triunfo is a port and a municipality in the department of Usulután the west of the Central American nation of El Salvador.

It is located 110 km from San Salvador. The municipality has 60 % of the Bosque salado of El Salvador and 19,074 inhabitants.

History

After the Rafael Antonio Gutiérrez government coup on 21 June 1894, the power, a concession to the installation and operation of a port for 25 years was awarded in the Bahia de Jiquilisco on 6 October 1894.
