Puerto Rico All Stars

The group Puerto Rico All Stars, PRAS abbreviated, is a Salsa and Latin Jazz group from Puerto Rico.

Career

The band was founded in 1977 by Franklin Gregory in Puerto Rico. In 1963, a band with a similar name Puerto Rican All-Stars, which was accompanied by a percussionist named Kako. It was composed, among others, of a large number of renowned artists such as Andy Montañez, Paquito Guzmán, Lalo Rodríguez and Gilberto Santa Rosa, who later began a solo career as. PRAS was an alternative and was in competition with the resident in New York City band Fania All-Stars with Johnny Pacheco. PRAS produced three albums, which appeared in the period from 1977 to 1979. In 1996, their last album De Regreso on the market.
