Puppetry of the Penis

Puppetry of the penis or the Ancient Art of Genital Origami (translated as " penis - puppet or the ancient art of genital origami " ) is an Australian stage performance in which the performer by means of their penis, their testicles and foreskin represent different "figures".

For the first time in 1998, listed in Melbourne as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the invented by David Friend and Simon Morley show on many stages established worldwide. As with other successful stage shows as well (such as the Blue Man Group or Cirque du Soleil ), there are several ensembles ( 2008: six ) worldwide, occurring in a franchise system under the name of " Puppetry of the Penis ".

In addition to touring the show appears regularly at international festivals (such as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe) on. In London, the show more than five months in the West End Whitehall Theatre ran in New York for over a year on Broadway. Also, private occasions, such as the Hen Night, performances can be booked.

The show and a tour of Australia are the basis for the documentary " Tackle Happy" (2000) by Mick Molloy.
