Pustary

Pustary ( German Pustar ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the Gmina Dygowo (Town Degow ) in the powiat Kołobrzeski ( Kolberg ).

Geographical location

The village is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 7 km southwest of Dygowo ( Degow ), 10 km south-east of Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg) and 104 km northeast of the provincial capital Szczecin.

History

Pustar was originally a single-line rows village which developed into a mere manor later. According to records older place names Pustarze ( 1363), Pustars ( 1565) and were Putstars ( 1572). Pustar existed in the 17th century into three parts A, B and C, to which later a fourth Part D came. To 1864 there were in Pustar with the mill 18 residential buildings, including the elegant country house, the school house and a local council house, as well as around 210 residents who lived in 29 families.

Most operating Pustar included in 1939 a total of 555 hectares.

Until 1928 Pustar formed its own Gutsbezirk in Kolberg- Körlin circle. 1928 was incorporated in the course of municipal reform in the neighboring community Zwilipp.

At the turn of 1945/1946 Polish authorities expelled the German population of the village, Pomerania happen, as in all other villages so, see History of Pomerania. Subsequently, it was populated by Poles.

Parish

Since the inauguration of the Zerniner Church in 1281, the village belonged until 1911 to the Protestant parish, then the parish Zwilipp.
