Pyotr Bark

Pyotr Lvovitch Bark Sir Peter Bark (Russian Пётр Львович Барк; * 6 Apriljul / April 18 1869greg Governorate Jekaterinoslaw, .. † January 16, 1937 ) was a Russian politicians and Russian Finance Minister of 1914 until 1917.

Bark went to school in St. Petersburg and then studied law at the University of the city. In 1891 he received a post in the Ministry of Finance. In 1903 he got a banker training in the bank Mendelssohn & Co. in Berlin. He then worked again in the State Bank. Then he had a post in the Volga - Kama Bank. In 1911 he moved back into public service once again in 1914 and appointed Minister of Finance.

After his escape to England as a result of the Revolution of 1917 he was Director General of the Anglo - International Bank in London. Bark also acted as financial advisor to Maria Feodorovna ( Empress of the Russian Empire from 1881 to 1894 ) in exile in England. In 1935 he was knighted.
