Qiu Hongmei

Qiu Hongmei (born 2 March 1983) is a Chinese weightlifter. It was 2006 and 2007 world champion in single combat in the weight category to 58 kg body weight.

Career

Qiu Hongmei comes from Xinyu, Jiangxi Province. There lives and trains them as well. Since 2006 she is a member of the Chinese national women's weightlifters and is trained in this Ma Wenhui and Li Shunzhu.

In 2006 she was at the World Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, used in the weight category to 58 kg body weight. She scored there in a duel 237 kg ( 107-130 ) and won the world title against Svetlana Zarukajewa, Russia, scored 233 kg ( 108-125 ) and Wandee Kaimeaim from Thailand to 230 kg ( 100-130 ).

In 2007 she won the Asian championship in Tai'an in the weight category to 58 kg body weight, while they gave off an exciting contest. It began with their first two attempts in the snatch with 100 kg of were invalid and she managed this burden with great difficulty in the third attempt. In pushing it started with 127 kg, they defeated easily, then they also met without major troubles 135 kg. In the third experiment, they then let the world record weight of 141 kg hang up and also managed this load. So you surpassed the world record her compatriot, the Olympic champion Chen Yanqing 1 kg.

A similarly exciting competition provided Qiu Hongmei also at the 2007 World Championships in Chiang Mai / Thailand from. In 2009, Qiu Hongmei was third winner at the Chinese Championships in the weight category to 58 kg. They scored 228 kg ( 100-128 ) in a duel. In the Chinese National Games in Jinan they rose to excellent 246 kg ( 109-137 ), which she finished in second place behind only nineteen Li Xueying, 251 kg ( 111-140 ). In international championships was in 2009 but not used.
