Quamby Bluff from the north

The Quamby Bluff is a mountain in the north of the Australian state of Tasmania. It lies about 23 km south of Deloraine in the Great Western Tiers, south of the Golden Valley community on Lake Highway ( A5). The Quamby Brook, a tributary of the Meander River, rises at its northern slopes.

Rise

The Quamby Bluff is one of the easier to be climbed mountains in the Great Western Tiers. It is easy to climb in one afternoon.

The easiest route starts about 22 km south of Deloraine on the Lake Highway. Opposite the junction of the access road to the mountain, there is a parking lot. From there you walk about 100m up the road and then follow the well-marked path.
