Qubad Talabani

Qubad Talabani ( born July 21, 1977 in Damascus ) is the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the United States and the second son of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani current.

Biography

Qubad grew up in Surrey / England next to his maternal grandparents Ibrahim Ahmed, the writer, poet and founder of the modern intellectual Kurdish movement is Galawejh Ahmed, who is also a writer, and his older brother to Basle. After graduating from high school Qubad showed interest in mechanical engineering and received his diploma in mechanical engineering at Carshalton College and later his bachelor's degree at the University of Surrey.

During the 90 years Qubad worked as an auto mechanic at a trading company that had specialized in vehicles of Lancia, Suzuki and Maserati.

Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government

He moved to Washington, D.C. and began to work there together with Barham Salih, as representatives of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK ). 2003, he returned Qubad for a year in Iraq returned and served as an intermediary between the PUK and the coalition forces .. Qubad also played a key role as a negotiator for the PUK for the design of Iraq's interim constitution.

In April 2004 Qubad returned to the United States and has since become the representative of the PUK and the Kurdish Regional Government. With the unification of the two administrations of the PUK and KDP in northern Iraq, the establishment of the Democratic Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan and the reconvening of the Kurdish Regional Parliament, Qubad Talabani was appointed the first official representative of the united Kurdish regional government in the United States.

Qubad lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Sherri Kraham. He is known to be a supporter of Manchester United.
