Quime

Quime is a country town in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

Quime is the central place of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Quime in the province Inquisivi and lies at an altitude of 3023 m on the right bank of the Río khalu. The River rises in khalu of the fifteen kilometers west of Quime located Cordillera Quimsa Cruz and flows to the provincial capital Inquisivi over the Río Sacambaya and on into the Bolivian lowlands of the Río Beni.

Geography

Quime is located on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Quimsa Cruz, between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Amazon lowlands to the east. The region has a pronounced diurnal climate in which the daily temperature fluctuations are stronger than the seasonal variation.

Traffic network

Quime lies at a distance of 250 kilometers of road southeast of La Paz, the capital of the department of the same name.
